Known as the Scorecard Killer, Kraft’s crimes spanned the 1970s and 1980s, targeting young men across California and beyond. Randy Kraft was a well-educated computer programmer who led a double life—appearing successful and intelligent while secretly committing a series of brutal murders. His victims were often young men he met in bars or hitchhiking, many of whom were drugged, tortured, and left along highways. Kraft earned the nickname Scorecard Killer after police discovered a cryptic list in his car at the time of his arrest. This “scorecard” contained coded entries believed to correspond to his victims.
